Now in its 15th year the Loch Lomond MRI course seeks to provide solutions to common MRI imaging problems likely to be encountered in the setting of a District General Hospital. We have included this year for the first time a few lectures on evolving new technologies and techniques which we think will be of relevance in the near future
The format is of short lectures followed by small group discussion with illustrative cases. It is this latter feature which has proved most popular with delegates in previous years. Here is an opportunity to discuss any difficulties you may have had with the most common aspects of MR imaging.
In keeping with the workload of most departments there is an emphasis on Neurological and Musculoskeletal imaging. However to reflect the changing and developing role of MRI there are also sessions on abdomen and pelvis.
Rather than stick exclusively to MR in all circumstances there is a problem oriented approach where possible indicating where other modalities may be preferable
